HiFu 7D "Ultherapy" Treatment Instructions

Before Your Treatment

• Wear SPF 30+ and avoid the sun for at least 48 hours before.
• Do not use any skin care products such as prescription acne topicals, Retin-A or any face cream supplement that contains Hydroquinone for one week prior to treatment.
• Do not use self-tanning lotions or tanning booths at least two weeks prior to your laser treatment. Any client arriving with a tan, or a sunburn will be rescheduled due to sensitivity of the procedure to altered skin color and for the sake of your own safety 

After Your Treatment 

Immediately after the Ultherapy treatment, the skin may appear red or slightly swollen in select areas, which may last a few hours or longer.

• You may have mild swelling for 1-3 days after your treatment.
• Redness for 2-3 days is common.
• Avoid prolonged sun exposure or use of tanning beds for one week after a treatment.
• Use a minimum of SPF 30 to protect your skin after your treatment.
• Moisturize
• Makeup may be applied - please make sure it is a mineral based makeup.
• Clients should not receive Botox two weeks before or two weeks after an Ultherapy treatment.
• If you opt for local anesthetic to be injected, you may experience more temporary swelling. We recommend sleeping on several pillows for the first two to three nights to allow the anesthetic to drain down.
• It is normal to experience mild tenderness, swelling and bruising along the jaw line for several days in some cases longer.
• Some patients may experience mild bruising with the procedure. If you have more significant bruising, we recommend oral or topical Arnica to minimize bruising. You may purchase Arnica at the reception. Please start Arnica 2 days before your procedure.
• Some patients may have temporary welts that last a few days, in rare cases longer. If this occurs ice the area each hour for 5-10 minutes.
• You may experience some numbness or shooting pains, particularly on the brow bone area on occasion. This is temporary and will resolve soon. Please call us with any concerns.
• Protect your treatment and investment by avoiding excessive sun exposure and smoking as these cause additional aging in the skin and the need for additional treatments may be required



You may resume regular activities immediately after the procedure.

There are no limitations to your activities other than what we have stated above. You will start to experience immediate tightening and toning of the treated areas after the procedure. Your results will continue for the next 3-6 months as your body builds collagen in the treated areas.
